
2025-26 University Division Women’s Coach of the Year Finalists Announced
Seven coaches who enjoyed on-ice success during the 2025-26 season have been named finalists for the CCM/AHCA University Division Women’s Ice Hockey Coach of the Year Award. The award will be announced on Thursday, March 19, at the NCAA Frozen Four at Penn State University. Three of the finalists are former Coach of the Year honorees. They are: Mark Bolding of Yale University (2022), Dave Flint of Northeastern University (2021 and 2023), Mark Johnson of the University of Wisconsin (2006, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2025). Bolding was also chosen as the AHCA Division III Coach of the Year four times while at Norwich University.
To be a finalist for this award, one must either be voted Coach of the Year in your conference, or advance to the NCAA semifinals. One of the finalists qualifies as both a conference Coach of the Year and as an NCAA semifinalist: Mark Johnson of Wisconsin, the #2 seed in this year's NCAA Frozen Four.The award will be presented on April 30 at the AHCA Convention in Bonita Springs, FL.
